main plants found in the park are sal, pine, and alder species. The Khaptad
plateau is dominated by sub-alpine vegetation so the forests of fir, oak,
birch, and rhododendron can be found.

Shiva temple is located at the confluence of three rivers, known as Triveni.

national park is named after the late Khaptad Swami, a well-known spiritual
